Escher Tessellation 104 |
| This tessellation has both translational and rotational symmetry. The centers of rotation are about each lizard's nose, right front foot, right knee, and left rear foot. Each lizard's nose is a center of 2-fold rotation. Ignoring color differences, its right front foot and left rear foot are centers of 4-fold rotation. Each point marks a location at which more than two lizards meet. Joining the points on the same reptile in cyclic order will outline a square. |
